Im looking to put 18" chrome rims on my 07 SE V6 with 235/45 18 tires to keep the diameter the same. Any thoughts on this??Would i get the look that i want?? Will there still be too much tire? Im not lowering the car or anything. The original wheels were 17".

i should fit, the tire shop you are buying rims from should have more info. but as far as getting the look you want is up to you. i would like it better then the stock rims.

IMO- i would go w/an inch bigger since you're not dropping your car; you'd keep a pretty similar ride comfort and 19's will fill up the gap a bit better.

The suspension on our cars is actually very soft, and I'm driving an SEV6 (2007) as well. I tried 18's with 235/45s and for me it didn't look quite right. The width looks a lot more aggressive, but the 45 sidewall took away from the actual wheel. You can go 19"s as was mentioned but you'd want a 40 series tire...look up how much a 225/40 19 or 235/40 19 (if they make them) and see how much they cost...EXPENSIVE. Our wheel wells and stock ride height are kind of strange. I'm running 235/35 20s on stock suspension and it only rides slightly stiffer than the stock wheels/tires. I think increasing the width from the 215 stock tires helped offset going from a 55 series stock tire to a 35. Just my opinion though.

Have you noticed an increase in noise with the 20's?

Nope...I noticed minimal noise increase. There may be a little, but that isn't necessarily due to wheel size. Different tires will cause it too.
pjbc: I don't have the stock tires anymore, just the stock SE rims sitting in my garage.

1 inch bigger is not that much difference considering the amount. you might want to consider getting 20's
