I'm in the process of installing factory cruise control in my GEN3 1996 Camry(5sfe). I have mounted the servo and the stalk parts.
I got the cruise "brain" box off of a 1996 2 door in a junkyard. I took out the glovebox and mounted the brain where it was in the donor unit.
I can't seem to locate the greenor gray female plug in for it.

Anyone happen to know about this? Have a picture of it? I would think Toyota would not make a specific wiring harness for a with cruise/without cruise.
The junker is 47 miles away to go take another look, so any help from here is greatly appreciated.

Are the other harness plugs there, for the servo, operator control, etc. Is there a location for the Cruise fuse and a light on the instrument panel?

Toyomoho,
Yes the plug and harness is there for the servo and the stalk control. where is the light on the dash panel kind of located?
I would assume the brain control plug is there somewhere. I'm gonna take out the passenger airbag and see if it sin't hid on top where i can't see it from the bottom.
Thanks for your help.

Try looking behind the passengers side kick panel for the cruise ECU. The dash light appears to located in the speedometer area below where the indicator needle lies when the engine is off.

I've added the Cruise control brain next to the ECU. This is the same place I got it from the 96 two door. I can't find the wiring harness plug for it though. I'll go look for the cruise light this evening.

The fuse is there, can't really see if the light is. Looked again for the harness plug not to be seen

If you are sure of both the new and old cruise control ECU locations then recheck wiring. The plug could have been taped around another harness, have found them buried something where. One method that worked was finding a few of the harness wire colors then tracing them back to the plug.
