Hello gurus,

My 1998 right turn indicator light is blinking fast when the headlights are on.  I tried to open the plastic covers inside the trunk and all the lights are working.  But I am not sure why this thing is blinking?  Also, in this process all the plastic plugs in the cover broke off.  Is there a way to get new plugs for these?

Please help me.

Thanks
yengee

the right turn signal blinks fast when you have the headlights turned on, but blinks normally when they're off?

the front turn signal bulb has two fillaments.
Most likely its the front bulb and not the rear with the issue. It could also be a simple connection problem. take out the bulb and wiggle it around and try again. Or you can easily see if the fillament is broke.

The front turn signal is only removable by taking out the whole turn signal housing. you cannot access the bulb from within the hood of the car like you can with the headlights.

The 'plugs' you speak of are found at some autostores and definately at the stealership. But they cost a lot.

Hi .. when the indicator blinks fast then mostley u have something wrong in the same side that the indcator is located, front or rear ... try to swith the bulbs or try to install new one's .. there is no harm in replacing them all as u will get a stonger brighter lights in ur car

i agree with these guys..the front turn signal do loosen with in time...i would switch on the side that flashes fast and tap on the front and rear turn signal lens..and see if it slows the flash...replaced the bulb and  repair the connection..

taooing the lens will cause a vibration in the broken tengisten thin wier that actully caused the problem ... remove the bulb & take a close look while tapping it so u can notice if its broken.

all the best
