I just picked up a 96 Camry last week. It's my first Toyota so I'm kind of new to the platform. It's a 2.2 automatic, nothing exciting, but it's going to be my daily driver so i'm not throwing a ton of miles into my other ride, a 91 Galant VR4. I'd like to do a few performance and cosmetic upgrades just to make the car more enjoyable and I've already fabbed up a new air intake and installed the stereo from my old car. I also ordered some new wheels, dampers, and springs to get the stance right. I'd like to change out the entire exhaust since it's pretty rung anyway. I've found a header from OBX listed for the 97 2.2 Camrys, which apparently also have the 5S-FE as mine does. Will this header fit the 96 models? I also plan on doing a full exhaust along with the header.

I assume you're referring to the cat that's under the car, not teh one attached to the manifold. That said, I'd be building a full exhaust anyway so relocating the cat is no big deal. But physically, will the header bolt up relatively close to where i need it? I've never looked under the hood of a 97 or newer Camry so I don't know if they still have that tilt of teh motor that the 92-96 has. Also, I've found Celica and MR2 headers for those with the 5S-FE that I'm sure could be made to fit with a custom downpipe. Any thoughts on that?

celica mr2 and camry 5sfe motors have the same cylinder heads, so it should bolt on. i had a spare cylinder head gasket kit
for a camry and used it on a mr2. the exhaust manifold gasket fitted perfect.
