A/C issues 2003 camry

I have been having intermittent problems with my A/C...meaning every couple of months.  The A/C light will start blinking, and it will stop working.  I have been able to turn it off and turn it back on again to get it to start working before.  I have also changed the cabin air filter and it started working again...coincidence I don't know.  It started messing up after someone at an oil changing place inspected the cabin air filter.  Could this have anything to do with the problem?  I am planning on taking it to a dealership soon, but I would like to know what to expect. 

I took it to the dealership, and it was a relay that went bad.  The air filter changes must have just been coincidence.
