what kind of vehicle do you drive? Camry or Avalon and what year!

I should be able to help you. I have the O5 model Camry and have found a sequence of codes that turn the buzzer off.

RocketMan, Anyone,

I have a '07 Camry Hybrid and I'd like to turn off the seat belt dinger.
My dealer would not help me with this and directed me to this site. (Toyota of Escondido in CA)

And before anyone accusses me of being irresponsible...
There are people out there that "do" use their seatbelts yet don't want the nagging dinger.
Plus my dinger goes off when my laptop bag sits on the passenger seat.

Additionally, after I turn off the car and open the door to get out, the dinger goes off endlessly.  (Why!?!)
Many times, I'm uploading the car etc and it just won't stop.

So, before anyone preaches about being safe, know that the dinger is for absolute idiots and some of us are responsible enough to be safe without the nagging dinger. I wear seat belts everytime I drive.

Thanks in advance for the assistance,
JeffJake

he he he .... well what the guys & I here in my country do is that we go to any scrap ward & get a seat belt buckle from any damaged car & hook-it into the car .... then the buzzer or light will go off

I know its a cheap trick but it wont give headache

Buried somewhere in the owners manual it states that your dealer will change this for you.  The old codes from the prior models won't work.  My dealer fixed it for me with just one request.
