My '96 Camry 4-door "sounds" awful. I had the brakes done this morning and the mechanic stated there is a hole in my "flex pipe." I'd like to see whether or not I can repair this myself.
Does anyone have a diagram for this component?
Does anyone have an experience replacing one?
Where did you buy your replacement part?
If so, how much work is involved?
Can I replace it without a hydraulic lift?

its not that easy...it involves cutting and welding your exhaust pipe....

you can buy the flex pipe on ebay dirt cheap and any muffler shop will install it. I have tried many different ways to repair unfortunately there is a reason why its called a flex pipe, it moves. Anything you put on normally falls off. REPLACE IT.
