hello all. my wife and i just purchased a new '06 Camry this past friday. i am a jeep lover personally, but the gas from the GC was killing us. the large V8 loved to drink gas. my wife was filling up with gas every 4 days. anyway, we needed a more fuel efficient vehicle. enter the camry. we sprang for the 4cyl because the 34mpg was just what we were looking for. so far it seems like this will be a very good vehicle. we would rather have our jeep back, but i think this little thing will grow on me. at least i still have my wrangler.

here are a couple pictures of our new camry......but the GC we traded in first...

my wife as we were leaving to trade it in...

the camry is not nearly as plush on the inside as the GC was, but at 600 miles per tank of gas....i can deal....

we put a solid 500 miles on it this past weekend with our drive to houston for a couple days. straight highway all the way, and some lovely houston traffic driving gave us a good taste of how the vehicle will perform.

it had 14 miles on the odo. when we pulled it off the lot. most of those were from us test driving it. the others were from the loading and unloading of it from the truck.

i don't expect to do too much to this vehicle, but i was looking around at maybe adding a woodgrain dash kit and factory ss exhaust tip just to clean it up a little bit. other than that, hopefully will be getting the windows tinted here pretty soon. i don't see much else being done.......i'd rather spend the $ on the jeep.

My parents actually own a 04' Grand Cherokee and a 03' Camry. They are really different but I think you will learn to love the comfort. It's really smooth compared to the bumpy Jeep. Also, the stereo should be better. But, the torque is really nice on the Jeep. Good luck with your new car.
