Hi I own a 1998 Toyota Camry CE. I wonder what the best mod would be for improving my handling/ride for the least amount of money.
I have about 2k to spend.
I hate the smooth feel to the ride, and I want better cornering.
I currently am running on 14" 195/70R14 (tires are due to change)
I recently changed my shocks so I prefer not to change these
I am running on steel wheels.
thansk for all ur help

Can I change the springs to stiffer shorter one (lowered) and keep the oem shocks?

yeah u can, i changed my struts when i got it lowered because they were just stuffed so yes u can keep the stock struts if there still good, just do the ol' push the car down on the front and back and see how many time it bounces i think its 2 or more u need new struts

since u have a gen4 camry...if u plan to spend alot money u can choose tein or jic for coilover...they cost around between 1000 to 2000.....or u can do the cheap way get a tokico shock, tein or eibach spring, trd front strut bar(its for gen1 solara but it fit on gen4 camry too) and whiteline front and rear sway bar(or u can get trd rear sway bar)

Can anyone help...I'm trying to find a good quality strut bar any suggestions? I would really like a TRD, but all the dealers I called are telling me that the bar for the 98 camry 4 cyl is discontinued. Any one have somewhere else I could purchase it from
