i like the look of the HID Xenons and they are a lot safer, a lot more energy efficient and wut not.

i heard that if you install them tho you have no brights?

true or false?

if true, dus the HID provide enuff light that i wont need the brights?

Actually, aftermarket HID kits are a big problem. They are such a huge problem that they are actually banned for producing excessive glare and blinding other drivers on the road. This is what I recommend.

The best way to go is to retrofit an OEM HID kit since it uses OEM parts and will last a long time. Also, using true HID projectors will produce the better output, less glare, and clarity than halogen projectors which you have now.

If you would like an alternative, I would recommend only going with Xenondepot's HID kit since they use high quality parts such as Philips D2S burners and Philips bulbs. The Stanley's halogen projectors found in the 6th generation Camry actually take well to aftermarket HID kits, so it won't be that huge of a problem unlike with other vehicles having aftermarket HID kits. Also, be sure to cover up the Squirrel Spotters.

The Squirrel Spotters are a big problem with the '07 Camrys and HID kits. The Squirrels Spotters are not DOT mandated. They are there to see road signs and stuff like that. They are covered up because they are OK with Halogen, but with HID the glare is unbearable to oncoming traffic. These can be covered up with aluminized duct tape that are meant to withstand high temperature.

alright i dunno too much about kits and what not but let me tell you that i dislike HID's. They blind others, but of course are good for the driver with them. I think a good bulb with projectors is good enough.
Isnt the highbeam on the new camry a separate bulb anyways?

Factory HIDs and true retrofitted HIDs do not blind others, only aftermarket HIDs placed in non-HID housing blind other drivers. And yes, the high beam on the '07 Camry is a new bulb, but what does this have to do with anything?

I've had HID's installed in my 94 Camry for 3 months now. I have nothing but praise for installing HID's.

My low beams are now brighter than my brights. Because I've been on the receiving end of HID's and I know how bright they can be, I aimed my headlights a bit lower to keep them out of the eyes of on coming drivers.

I have a very reputable light dealer that I deal with. I help motrcyclists source these and install them. Shoot me an e-mail if you want to get in touch with him.

ANyway, not sure if any one has answered your (hungdang80) question...

#1. Find out what size bulb you have for high and low beam. They should be seperate.
#2. Decide if you want to covert both
#3. BUy a kit from a reputable dealer
#4. Install the kit. - There doesn't seem to be much room to install 2 kits, at least in my 94. When the time comes, I"ll have a pro shop install my second kit. I don't have the time or energy to do it myself. Kits are usually just plug in. You will need to mount the ballast units. That would require skill with a drill since the brackets should be screwed into some kind of sheetmetal.

HTH,
Dave

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and to Camry's and just wondering what headlight bulbs are in the 07 SE.
I have a set of HID's from my last car the bulbs are 9006.
Thanks.

The low beam projector bulbs for the 07 camry are H11
I thought they were H7 which would have been perfect for my oem xenon retrofit but now have to get aftermarket bulbs I am pissed about that...I really have never heard of H11 Projectors as low beams...hahah
What i am going to be putting in my 07 now is Hella Gen3 ballasts and after market 4300K H11 bulbs...should look pretty much exactly the same as oem setups that come stock on cars....i will post pics once i get everything setup

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE HARNESS IS LOCATED TO INSTALL THE HID KIT IN 2007 CAMRY

You would have to build your own harness and hook it directly up to the battery and then have a relay hooking up to the factory headlight plug so you are able to the turn them on. Here is a diagram...

you will want to bookmark that website.

your SE has projectors right? never install HID's into a vehicle without projectors. That would be illegal in a few states, as well as dangerous to other drivers (you included).

Does any one already install the HID in the 07 Camry? Please show some photo (engine bay). Does the conversion kit effect the computer, light indicator on or need to disconnect the day time running light? Any side effect?
Which brand is the best for Camry?  Thank you very much!!

thanks dave for the help. i successfully installed my HIDs in my 07 camry and they look terrific. I didn't bother messing with the high beams since i barely use them, so i kept them stock. And sorry for such a late "thank you".
I have another question now. I'm thinking of also replacing my fog lights with some xenon bulbs. Would I also need a ballast to go along with each bulb? or can i just throw on some xenon bulb and be done with it? something tells me I do need it, but I wanted to make sure first.

Ok so Im in the process of installing HID's in my car. This is what Ive found out. A few tips to sort of know;

1. HID's don't mean your high beams wont work, just that your normal lights will now be brighter than your High beams so its pointless to use them. You can though get HID's for your high beams as well and complete the entire process but that just seems over kill unless you're taking the camry to the wilderness.
2. The camry has NOTHING to help with HID's. I mean that you have to mount the the ballasts yourself somewhere in the engine compartment. Luckily for camry owners excess space under the hood is plentiful and you should have adequate room.
3. THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP!! I can't stress this enough; search and search for a plug and play type system. Otherwise you will have to do some serious wiring from that car's power source to the lights to get your system to work. Also once you o get your kit in don't touch the bulbs with your hands. Use gloves. These bulbs are super sensative and will blow if there is any kind of transference of oil from your hands. Other than that you should be ok. Good Luck!!
