It's about time someone came up with something for our cars! Now someone needs to dyno before and after!

Unfortunately, I just looked at K&Ns web site. The intake is not CARB exempt which hurts those of us in California...gotta have that for smog checks. There is no mention if K&N has applied, because the process takes a long time. I wrote them an e-mail so hopefully I'll get a positive response.

Now we just need a good exhaust. Someone posted the Borla, but I didn't quite like the way the tips looked...and it wasn't showing up their web site. TRD was supposed to be coming out with a cat-back exhaust for the V6...has anyone heard anything on the status? I'm sure it would sound even better with the intake.

No matter what you add or how fast you try to make it... it's still a fricking camry...

Hey did you ever hear back from K&N? I've already got my intake installed and I kept the factory one, but I'm hoping you heard something good so that by the time I gotta smog it I won't have to waste 2 hours taking out the new for the old, then doing it again.

I'm with b_pecan. It's just a waste of money. Right idea, wrong car.

If that's in regards to me....^^^ What's with you? Not allowed on here? I do own a camry.
Just simply stating an opinion. If that's not for me, sorry.

The intake makes the car sound much better and it makes engine bay a little nicer. How's that.

It also adds HP, and we can't get enough of that. See, I knew you'd come to the dark side.

Yep...they said they'd "submitted" it to CARB for testing, and they do that with all their products, but that it would likely take a long time for approval to take place...assuming it is approved. I hope it is quick...because I'd love to get that intake.
