Hi ... I have a stock 1997 2.2L 5S-FE engine Camry ... am doing a little mods to it & now I reached to the exhaust system ... I dont wanna change alot ...  just aiming to change the muffler  .. I dont want it to be noisy or with a huge sound .. I just need my car to perform better ..
 
any suggestion's

sorry, but changing ur muffler won't increase your performance if you've still got a regular flow catalytic converter and that resonator on the exhaust pipe. And the oem header doesnt allow for maximum flow either.
 
for the muffler you can get a magnaflow or flowmaster. Cheap, not abnoxious (you can pick), and easy to find. Don't get one of those fireball fart cannons on ebay please.
 
Overall the i4 cannot be made to make the car go faster. The i4 cams are good for handling improvements as well as interior improvements such as audio. Not too many people have gone the turbo route for their i4's.

Here in the middle east we dont have a cat. converter so the the flow is much better .. Headers  .. mmmm that will be if I go nuts & thinking about turbo
About the muffler I guess am going for flowmaster as they were cool on my Mustang, & am gonna check the exhust pipe if I need to go for the 2.25", but i hope that wouldn't generate a noisey sound

Hi ... am placing my orders tomorrow so can any 1 please help me with the correct dimensions for the muffler that will fit my car i.e. case lengnth, inlet diameter, ... etc.
 
i sure know that i have only single inlet & out let pipe & both are centered & the shape is oval but what about inlet diameter & i dont wanna load sound
