Hi guys ... am gonna fit my JVC mp3 combo unit from my old chevy to my recently bought 1997 Limited GLi camry ... Ive been using it for almost 7 years & its still working amazing
... gonna as well istall to it the JVC 6x9 240 watts 3 way speakers that is attached to a Sony 2 ch 250 watts amp which I was using them on my chevy as well ... sound is amazing that I 1nce went to the electronic center to install a sub along with it as they didnt belive that I dont have 1
>>> coz for the bass output from the above mentioned speakers was more than enough ... but I guess am gonna fit a 16 cm 180 watts 2 way speakers to work as a mid-range to complete the sound I have ...

I don't mean to burst ur bubble- but the acoustics in a pick-up truck is waaay different from a car. It'll vary based on your positioning and air space. So watch out... good luck w/your system!

Thanx dear .. i will bare that in mind .. but my old chevy was a caprice not a truk .. sorry i 4got 2 mention that .. i will check what is the result & post it later

I made and custom box that faced the back seat. so if the seats were folded down the subs would be facing inside the cab...if they had the back seats up...we placed an air vent in the cavity of the center arm rest...my brother was happy with the out come.....yours should sound similar.

Honestly, I'd port it so you have the sound hitting off the back windshield. It's a much better sound, less vibrations and more clarity, not that muffled sound. This I only suggest if you're willing to do some fabs.
