Oil Change

Hey, I need some help with my girlfriends 2001 XLE V6.  I am going to do an oil change on it tomorrow and I need to know how much oil it takes.  The manual says like 1.8q or something but that seems really low.  I don't know if her car is worth showing off just yet, she is kind of poking into tuning.  Pink dome lights, color changing trunk light, pink liscense plate lights, and a K&N.  (she likes pink haha)  Thanks in advance. 

i usually put in 4.5qts on my 4cyl. so i'm guessing 5 even would be the target for the 6.

the v6 takes pretty much exactly 5 quarts with an oil filter change and a really good drain.

otherwise without the filter change it takes about 4.8 quarts.
 
i but the 5 quart jugs at wal-mart or autoshop and i use the whole thing, unless im leaving the filter  in.
