I Just got a 2007 camry and I'm very happy with it.  After all, this is my 5th Camry!!
But I noticed the transmission is kind of rough especially 1st to 2nd.  I asked the Service manager
at the dealer where I bought my car and he said that it was normal.  According to him, the car has
a transmission that adapts to your driving habits and that it will take about 5,000 miles plus to adjust
to my driving habits.

Did anyone experience this?

Happy Driving...

I work for a toyota dealer in my area and this is true of the 07 model once it adapts to the way you drive the computer will adjust the shifting and you will not expirence this rough feeling

if you have a v6 model, it could be a model that falls under the recall for it's transmissions failing in 2nd and 6th gears.
Give your toyota dealer a call and ask if you're specific car is affected. If you've bought it in this year 2007, i dont think you should have that problem.
Hopefully it'll just adapt.

If you're car is having that problem, it wont run well, but it wont totally die on you.
