Default Front Disc Moves side to side?

Alignment seems fine, tire wear normal. just jacked passenger side front and I can move tire side to side (horizontally) a good 1/8 of inch or slightly better. Removed tire and can replicate movement with hands placed at 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the disc...easily move disc assembly left and right...(no movement up/down). I thought maybe the tire just wasn't properly tighten so remounted wheel and tightened up...still horizontal movement...lower/outer tie rod not moving ....just disc.

Thoughts?

The axle hub is attached to the lower control arm and shock strut. The tie rod and steering assy keep the axle hub from rotating horizontally without steering input.

The disk is only held to the axle hub by the rim and lug nuts.

You state the tie rod is not moving and no vertical play.

Have a helper move the axle hub assy horizontally while you check the following for excess play:

The tie rod end connected to the axle hub arm. It is possible for the tie end rod ball joint to have excess play allowing the ball to move within its housing but not move the rod the housing is connected to.

Check the lower ball joint for play. Should be zero play.

Check the two rubber bushing connections to the chassis for the lower control arm. These bushings can fail.

From youtube
That movement is normal for a toyota disc/rotor brake system

The tyre rim holds the rotor position firm when the rims lug nuts are tightened correctly

If only the disk is moving then ditto for above.
