How do you remove the lower finish panel on a 1991 Camry?
I'm trying to replace the ignition switch on my daughter's 1991 Camry and can't figure out how to remove the lower finish panel.
I removed the two screws on the lower left edge of the finish panel, and the two screws on the lower right edge. Looked for more screws anywhere, but can't see any. Pried out the switch blanks on the right side of the steering column, but there are no screws there. Tried to pry out the panel with the dash light dimmer switch, but it won't come out. The only other item is the radio speaker, but that won't come out; at least not easily. Can anyone help?

Got it! On the left side, there is one screw behind the dimmer switch panel and one behind the speaker panel. On the right side, there is one behind the dual switch blank panel, in addition to the four in the lower edge of the panel.

Hi Robtlee,
I just had the same problem on 90 camry. Got good instruction help from Toyomoho. the problem is the location of bolts. The tricky one is under the speaker cover. The cover has a clip in the middle of upper side. Need to insert a flat screwdiver (I used flat stong scraper) and compress the clip and pry out the cover with flat screwdriver. Here a good picture I made shows the location and I notes on it. May be you dont need to remove the screws holding the hood release cable. But if you want the panel out of your way, unsrew 2 sscrews and remove the cable.
