Default How to test wiring harness to tranny solenoid SL?

I've been getting PO770 codes (defective solenoid E), but I'm making slow progress troubleshooting.

Now that I have removed my 1997 toyota camry 2.2l 4 cyl auto tranny's solenoid value SL ("lock up") and it tests OK (12.8 ohms resistance; clicks well on 12V), I need to test the wiring harness.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to apply the circuit tester leads to do that test. I am very concerned about NOT damaging the ECM.

Any help on what, where, and/or how to do this test would be appreciated.

The O/D switch wire colors at the computer may be Green/Orange and Brown.

Solenoid wire may be purple. There is only one wire, the ground is at the solenoid. The computer supplies 12V or 0V.
