Hi,

I have a 1996 Toyota Camry with a factory alarm installed. The model is the RS3000. I had unplugged the alarm years ago and surprisingly today it went off. I don't have the remote control. I couldn't get it to stop, so I unplugged the battery. When I reconnected the battery everything else with the car worked, but the ignition has gone into Starter Disable mode. The engine will not start, since it is locked by the alarm. I've tried everything from unhooking the battery for 30 minutes. I tried pressing down the green reset button on the alarm brain... but nothing.

I'm at my wits end and I need to be at work tomorrow! Anything anyone could tell me would be greatly appreciated.

If you have this type of system DON'T disconnect the battery or it cause the alarm to activate if it was not deactivated.

Try this:

Lock all the doors. Insert key in drivers lock and rotate toward rear of car.

Or if the car has remote:

Lock doors and unlock with remote.
