Hello Experts,
My camry was in a bad wreck.
It was T-Boned pretty bad.
Before the wreck , my fuel tank was half full, after the wreck the fuel gauge went up. and slowly came down after a couple of days.

I filled up the whole tank last thursday and the darn furl gauge wont come down.

Is there something i could do?
What exactly is wrong with the gauge. Anything i could do to diagnose or fix it.

Or is a mechanic my last option.
Please help and advise.

Could be the fuel sender float gauge is damaged. The sender and fuel pump are mounted together as a unit and hung from the top of the tank.

You can access these by removing the lower rear seat cushion. Pull up firmly at the each front side of the cushion then after released pull the seat forward to remove.

There is an oval access cover on the under the seat behind the driver. Remove cover to expose top of fuel tank. Disconnect tubing and wiring going to pump/gauge then upbolt and remove unit.
