Default How to replace dash lights?

The light that shines on the speedometer is totally dead. It was going for a while and turning the dimmer no longer helped. How hard is it to replace the bulbs for this? We have a 98 Camry.

Thanks in advance.

Suggest you visit the Autozone website and look in the sites vehicle self repair section.

The complete instrument console typically pulls out from the front.

its not hard at all, 2 screws for the cover, and 3 -4 screws holding the cluster.. then disconnect the connectors and it should come off,

Camry clusters use Toshiba V-2 sockets bulbs.. Sizes T5 , T6.5 , T10

we carry all Original toyota bulbs for replacement
please check out - www.speedometerbulbs.com/collections/toshiba
if you anybody needs replacements for theyr clusters / speedometers
thank you

But how does one actually get the cluster out without having to bend and tweak the old plastics to find all the hidden snaps and screws? I would just replaced the lights with equivalent LED lamps made to fit in the sockets. Eiko distributes them, the Autozone pirates charge three times as much. You can order them from mouser.com electronics.
My gripe is the back light for the AC/heater cluster. I haven't quite learned to operate by braille yet in the dark.
