I wonder if anyone has any suggestions. I have a 1992 Camry, and am having some problems with the warning lights. The tailight warning AND the battery warning light go on and off very intermittantly. When it happens, they are in unison and they do not stay on. They just choose to go off at whatever point. Some days..no real issue, and other times, quite a few times in a day. If it is at night I DO notice that the headlights will dim and get brighter in unison with the flickering. The alternator was changed about 1 year ago. Any ideas? Can someone tell me why (why they think) they both are going on and off TOGETHER? Fix??

 

You either have wiring problem(at alternator or batt. terminals)or you have had lower quality alternator installed,rec. not using the big auto parts stores(that always say lifetime warranty),or buying the lowest price alternator.Some part stores now offer NEW alternators not rebuilt.Those are the best.
