Solara convertible drive light
Dear Forum Members. My Solara is from 2006 and has drive lights, when the car is on, the lights are on, but only on the left side.
When I turn the lights switch on they work both sides so it is not the bulb.
Which electrical part controls this?
This here is my VIN 4T1FA38P76U075334
The car was new in USA but now drives in Oman and I am very happy with it, however it is not possible to get parts at the Toyota dealership here and even they do not have repair manuals to give me the partnumber to buy it online.
In toyotapartsestore.com it is impossible for me to find out exactly what part I need.
Are any of you able to tell me which electrical part controls the drive lights?

Welcome to CF.
How did you get to Oman?
Only the left headlight works with day time running lights (DRL), but both work when lights are turned on?
Each high/low beam bulb filament has its own fuse and wiring. The DRL system has more relays for operation then the normal headlight system. Could be a DRL bad relay.
Find the DRL No 3 relay (controls LH bulb) and 4 relay (RH) located in a relay box, drivers side of engine compartment. Try swapping these relays and determine if the working light switches position.

Thanks
How did I get to Oman?
I think the the wind blew me here..... I took a contract in the airline industry.
Thank you for your reply. I believe a relay is not the most expensive part and will therefore ask you if it is possible to find a part number for this.
Can is it be this one? 9008087025
Although I am not sure if this one is located in engine compartment or inside the car as on one of the drawings.

Did you find the relay box on the drivers side of engine compartment, then the various relays labeled DRL?
The part number is for the DRL and a host of other systems on Toyota's, kind of a universal relay.
There is also a relay box behind drivers side of dash ashtray.
