Default 1995 Camry 2.2 stalling issues

Hello all. We bought this Camry about a year ago, had 200+k, ran pretty good but had a rough idle. I changed plugs and wires and it ran better but still had a low idle. A month or so later it became hard to start, found that the coil was cracked and the oil seal was bad so I replaced the distributor. Ran pretty good for another several weeks but then was hard to start when cold then magically changed to hard to start when hot. At some point cleaned the throttle body and whatever that valve is called but can't remember when. Replaced a couple of sensors and it would start but would stall after driving less than 5 miles but would re-fire after a few minutes. Took to local Toyota dealer and they replaced the EGR valve. Ran good for several weeks but has resumed the stalling. I am now getting error code 12 when doing the jumper thing but it always starts and will run for as much as 15 minutes but usually only 3-5 before stalling. Also replaced fuel filter. When it's running it runs good but it stops INSTANTLY, no sputter, pop, or nothing. About at wits end with this thing and don't understand why I am getting error code 12 if it will start and run. Any suggestions appreciated, don't have the funds to throw parts at fixing it.

Update: Replaced the air inlet hose because the old one was sort of chewed up, cleared the codes. Engine fired right up but after a couple of minutes started missing and surging but I could control it by giving it some gas. Idle without my foot on the gas still seems low to me at less than 500 rpm. Now getting error codes 12 & 24. Checked voltage to AIT = 6.5 volts. Checked, or tried to, AIT without placing in hot water and getting about 15000 ohms. Seems good to me but I am an idiot, apparently. Temporarily out of ideas but at least the symptoms changed. Have an almost useless Haynes manual btw so would appreciate a better reference if one is available. Thanks for any help.

Is the coil built into the distributor or remote?

The coil is in the distributor, which is new. I don't think it's rebuilt but I could be wrong, been awhile. Thanks for the reply.
