I'm currently shopping around for a used or rebuilt engine to replace the 2.4 L 4-cylinder one in my 2008 Camry. Are there any other model years where the engine is the same? Knowing this could help me when digging through salvage yards.

Also, does anyone have a suggested website that I could possibly use to buy this engine? I'm open to anything other than dealing with a dealership at this point. Thank you!

Unless stripping the block and installing your old parts suggest sticking to Camry and Solara models and those after 2006.

Suggest auto salvage yards which can link to others by computer. Craigslist for parting out cars. Ebay sales these engines.

What is wrong with engine you currently have? There are some fixes out there for certain known problems with this engine which can repairing better then replacement.
