The back side (faces drivers side tire) of the cam timing gear has two dots that are about 4 teeth apart. The dots on the intake cam are located between two gear teeth. The dots on the exhaust cam are located below each tooth.

When the gears rotate and mesh together at the dots, the dots will be opposite of each other.

Align the lower dot (closest to the head) of each gear together. The upper dot on each gear will be above (higher above the cylinder head this lower dot by about 4 teeth.

If the gear/dot setup is correct. It appears if you were to now rotate the cams to move the two lower engaged dots downward the upper dot on each gear would then engage each other.

Did you check the valve clearance after installing the cam?

The injectors can make some noise.
