1995 Toyota Camry ATF Recommendations
Hey all. So I've got a question. Recently my sister purchased a 1995 Toyota Camera, sorry Camry. We'd like to change the ATF on it as it has shown a little bit of browning and what not. I searched around and only found that Dexron 2 or 2D was recommended. I know some of the transmissions on certain cars can be very picky in terms of what you put in them, so I was curious to know if I could put in Dexron 3 or something of that nature in, and if so, what would you guys recommend for this vehicle. Thanks for the input guys, God bless.

For this car Dexron III is used. III replaced II.
In the past vendors listed the fluid as Dexron III/Mercon. Now vendors also use names such as
Chevron ATF MD3
Valvoline Dex/Merc ATF
Pennzoil Dexron ATF
Carquest Dexron III/Mercon
When looking for fluid read the bottle or info listed for the product. Make sure it is a qualified replacement where Dexron III was specified.
