2003 camry fuel filter replcement

RE: 2003 camry fuel filter replcement
What does your owners manual say? I doubt fuel filter needs changing. Trans fluid depends on type and heat. If you use a white paper towel to check level of dipstick and observe the color of the fluid against the white background it should be bright red. If it is brown(ish) it may be time to change.

Fuel filter is in the tank. It will cost more in labor to have done than the service is actually worth. My advice is to run some kind of fuel treatment in the tank every oil change.
Transmission fluid is a special fluid from toyota i believe. Toyota t-iv. I believe this is a synthetic fluid. Check your transmission dipstick it should tell you what kind it takes.
Some people say use only dealer fluids, Some say its safe to use other fluids such as amsoil synthetic transmission fluid, mobil syn ect...If its under warranty do yourself a favor and let the dealer do the work. That way its documented and they will be prone to take care of any sudden problems considering its there work.
Good rule of thumb here is transmission should be done every 50k. Not sure what the manual says.
But a good transmission flushevery 50k under normal operating conditions will keep it shifting smooth.
If you drive in extreme conditions such as extreme cold or hot , lots of stop and go ect.... Then get it done every 30k.
Hopes this helps

Yea im positive the fuel filter is in the tank. Almost all of toyotas have it in the tank now days.( not to mention most cars on the market)Im not sure the logic behind it other than it makes it more of a pain to change. I guess its not that bad. If you have a lift less than a 1/4 of gas and a 2nd person. It usually goes smoothly. Usually people dont bother with it unless something is giving them aproblem fuel system wise. Plus now days theres injection cleaning services that flush the injectors out which is the only real reason for changing the fuel filter, so the injectors dont get backed up. If your that worried about it just get it done every 50k....
