You can't pull up on the locking ****, autolock does not work, door handle does not move, key does not turn?

i can lift the handle to the door, both inside and out. But the auto locks don't affect that door (they do work on all the other locks) the indicator next to the handle on the interior, that you can flip to unlock it, doesn't turn (well it didn't. ive got the door half apart at this point and that has been disconnected) and the key will not turn in the lock. I can see down in their, and it looks like there is a "hook" of metal (a sheet, about 1/8" thick) that has been bent. IDK if this is part of the lock mechanism or if it is for holding the mechanism to the door...
is their a diagram out there that will tell me what everything does and the names so that i can troubleshoot it? |

Don't think you are going to find a closeup diagram of the lock itself but this may help.

We got her open today...by a combination of brute force and ppure luck actualy...oh and a welding rod. Turns out a spring down inside it was broken and therefore some part of the lock wasn't sitting in the right position. We took her out and found that was it, so were going tomorow to get the spring andthe handle my dad snapped off when we were taking it out. second handle hes broken off a toyota this year, must have a vendetta...
turns out that i couldn't operate the locks by key because a tumbler isn't moving...my key might be wrong. We'll see 2moro |

Didnt you say a spring was screwed up? that could be why the tumbler wasnt moving, I had the same issue with my old buick skylark, I took out the locking mechanism itself and my father in law opened it up and straightened out whatever was not in place. The tumbler was stuck in mine as well.
Not necessarily the answer, but a hopeful maybe.
