Hello- Trying to help my mother-in-law. She just purchased a 99 Camry LE. No keyless remote was provided. I think it does not have an alarm system.It does not have a power driver seat. She will be up next week with the car. Is there anyway to inspect the car to determine if it has the ECU to work with a wireless remote, and how to determine which of the (apparently) two systems that were used is the one installed? Many thanks in advance for your help.

 

The word seems to be that a FOB was not standard on the LE model.

You should be able to add one easy enough, there are kits available.

 

Yup Le is kinda the basic model for carmy on those days, but if you want to add some alarm and keyless entry as toyomoho said there are kits availble to purchase.
