So i've tried using the forums search function to try and find where the air filter is, and to no avail. so please no flaming

im sure other souther california residents are being affected by the fires, and all this rubbish air is getting sucked into the engine, is there any way to either clean or replace the air filter by yourself? and where is the air filter on the car? i know its somewhere in the front, but exactly where im not sure. thanks for the help lads.

It might plug-in above the blower assy. Look under the passengers dash above the motor (looks round in shape) for a pull out try holding the filter. Filter would be mounted horizontal.
