Default Any other 2009 owners need a MAF sensor replaced?

Just checking to see if any other 2009 Camry owners(4cyl) have had to replave their MAF. My car only has 100 miles on it and I had to take it in to get the Check Engine Light diagnosed. I figured it was the dreaded gas cap but the MAF sensor was complaining and they(dealer) are ordering me one. Should have it in a few days and then the dealer will take care of it.

It seemed strange that the MAF would need replacement already, but hey, no big deal. I guess Im not gonna worry. Things happen and the car is awesome so I suspect this is just a little bump in the road so to speak.

The car runs perfect too which usually isnt the case when the MAF is bad. Oh well... no biggy!

Default RE: Any other 2009 owners need a MAF sensor replaced?

I can actually answer my own question! Toyota has just contacted my dealer and told them that 2009 Camrys do in fact have to have the MAFs replaced. The MAF that is in there has a faulty circuit board that will cause false Check Engine lights.

My car just happened to get out or they would have held it for a few days and made the change.

No biggy then.... Im cool with it! [sm=signs007.gif]
