I have an '04 Camry LE (I think 4L). The engine splash guard/undercarriage cover/skid plate/engine shield fell off. I cant figure out what the part is. If i go through a parts store, there are 3 different types called the same thing that look slightly different. This picture shows the part I'm talking about (random photo found on google).

Toyota may call it an "engine under cover."

It is held on by plastic fasteners that attach it to the chassis. It may be the fasteners came out, or the cover was tore off the fasteners. Investigate to determine why it came off.

Can reattach with plastic fasteners, wire, plastic zip ties, anything else that works.

Best to obtain part for Toyota or auto salvage yard to make sure it fits.

If looking for aftermarket part, remove cover to allow comparison before buying.

It is OK to drive car with cover off. It keeps out debris, allows better air flow, etc
