Default Changing Oil Filter

Anyone know a nice, easy method to avoid mess when changing the oil filter? I have an '05 XLE 6-cyl, though I would imagine the question holds for most models where the filter is installed in a horizontal position.

It was easy enough to remove & install, but the dripping followed several routes to the floor. Maybe I can find a flexible piece of plastic to fit underneath the filter before removal to guide the flow?

Open to suggestions....

Thanks,
-Ron

What i do is i already position the car the night before oil change so all the oil that's in the filter will come out overnight and it wouldn't be such a mess in the morning when removing.
