The week before I took the car in for inspection and they also rotated the tires, checked the engine air cleaner (did not replace it), and changed the oil. My check engine, brake light, reverse light, tail light out light, etc were all on for no reason. I checked the wire spool in my trunk and there was a wire that was cut in half. I reconnected it and now only my Brake light is on. Maybe not the same issue, but this helped me to look in the trunk.
