Make sure that you replace the grommet as well. I have a 98 Camry 4 cyl. and when I pulled the old PCV valve and put the new one in, the grommet broke, the top half on the new PCV valve, the other half down inside the valve cover.
I tried to get it out from the valve cover, no luck. I just left it in there, got a new grommet and put the new PCV valve in. Car runs ok. |

always check that the grommet is still soft before you place new one. my rule of thumb, i change pcv every 30k grommet evey 60k. they get brittle. and you don't want it break off.
