ignition problem
I have a 95 toyota camry with 150,000 miles. The car died out on me while driving. Once I got it home, I changed the spark plugs and I started the car and it ran for about a minute then died out. It cranks but will not start. I then changed the ignition coil and I started the car and it ran again for about a minute and then died out again. It now cranks but will not start. Any advice?

RE: ignition problem
I'm assuming 4 cyl'd. You'll have to perform some checks, there is no magic to this. Go here for how to:

We can help but can only suggest areas to check. Could be anything from bad coil to bad ECU. Try to resist just buying replacement parts on guesses.

RE: ignition problem
There are several components in your ignition system which can cause a problem. If you have a Haynes manual, go through the tests for ditributor gap, etc and check out the tolerances in the distributor. In my 95 it was a problem with the ignitor...I got it from the junkyard for $30.
