Default Possible fine-tuning option here?

okay so i was messin around under the hood when i had the idea of loosening/tightening the what i think is transmission cable linkage on the throttle rotor, (the circly thing where the throttle cable ends and transmission cable begins.. i think.) and seemed performance wa different with diff spots..... any guide to this (ex. looser=X while tighter=Y) thanks.

Default RE: Possible fine-tuning option here?

Could you explain better where this part is? I am having a bit of a problem with my auto transmission shifting late because I don't have much power up near redline, and the car always seems to want to take it allllll the way up to redline before it shifts if its floored, but its to the point where I'm making so little power up there that it wastes time sitting there while the rpms creep up to the rpm that it can shift at.
