Default Putting Brake Fluid In The Engine Oil!?

I live up stairs from an old man who clams that putting brake fluid in the engine oil will seal the leaking oil under the car. This sounds very odd but he says he did it to his truck and it stopped his leaks. So wanted to get some input on this very weird clam. Let me know what you think.

Brake fluid may not be compatible with the material the engine seals are made from causing them to swell up and be damaged.
