Default water in trunk

When I pull up the carpet in the trunk of my car, I notice water sitting in the left side of the trunk (where the wheel well is located). The right side doesnt have this issue. Any idea where its coming from?? Or how to stop it???

Have you checked the wheel well from the outside? If there are any holes and you're driving through water it could push it up inside.

I have the same problem on my 94.
It happens even when the car is parked in heavy rain.

You will probably find the problem in the trunk gasket. The get flattened over time. I picked one up for about $35 online. When I replaced it I looked at all the welded seams under the gasket. One or two looked as though the sealer had cracks or holes in them. I could not tell if that is where water came in or not but I used some black silicone to seal each of them before I put the new rubber gasket on. If you do this trial fit the gasket before you use the silicone to make sure you have it fitted properly. Many cars have a drain hole in the area behind the wheel. If you cannot find and correct the leak use a 1/8" drill bit and make a place for the water to go out. Put a drop of paint on the hole to protect from rust. And no, water will not blow up into the hole.
