What type of material did you clean out?

Is the chain now making noise?

You are changing the oil filter and note debris in the filter?

The chain guides are plastic.

Could the debris in the filter be carbon? A picture would help.

Use a rubber hose or other tube as a stethoscope to listen to the passengers side of the engine and then the manifold for noise.

The manifold has a baffle that can come loose and rattle when throttle is applied.

The chain tensioners are on the outside of the chain, listen to the radiator and firewall side of the timing belt cover area.

Also listen to the top passenger side of the engine where the two cam gears are under the timing cover.

The motor sounds normal. The fuel injectors can make a lot of noise.

The chain would be rattling at idle.

Use the stethoscope hose to narrow down the area of the noise.

If the timing chain, the noise would be coming from under timing chain cover on the passenger side of the engine and firewall and radiator side of the cover. This is where the guides are.

The plastic intake manifold is on the back side of the cylinder head. If a rattle from a loose baffle, it would come from this area.

The VVTi is located on the top passengers side of the timing cover. If a problem here, the noise would be here.

The noise could be a bearing issue on the water pump or alternator. Both are outside the timing chain cover. Put the end of the hose near the input drive shaft these items and listen for rattling.

You are going to need to narrow down the area of the noise. Use the procedure above.

The chain supporter is plastic, is the debris in the filter plastic?

Are you sure the debris is not engine "sludge." This is a gritty material caused by the engine oil breaking down.

If sludge it can if not removed from the engine keep plugging up the filter. Plus it can also plug up the engines oil pump intake screen.

If possible, stop driving the car. Take an old filter with the debris it contains to a qualified mechanic to determine if it is sludge, plastic or?
