hello, i am a quite new to the automotive scene and have a question. i have a v6 camry with 250k miles and i want to swap a 3Sgte engine into it. i was wondering whether the stack transmission is compatible with this swap and if there was anything else i needed to look out for or other things i needed. i mainly want to swap the engine to turbo it too, only a small single turbo though. any thoughts or advice would help.

i have read this thread all the way through and it was extremely helpful, but the main difference here is the fact that that thread discusses the 5sfe my engine is the 1mzfe v6 and has a different tranny. would it just be a better idea to swap the engine and the tranny?

 

It appears the V6 trans bolts to the 3SGTE engine. However check this out further. Toyotanation is a good place to ask..

An issue could be the trans gearing which is set for the V-6 power band and not the 3SGTE.

Is the 3SGTE trans your writing about possible swapping a stick shift?
