2014 Camry Hybrid XLE stiff ride
#4
Bought a hardly used 2014.5 XLE this summer, and with original tires (great condition).
I definitely agree, stiff ride. Feel every bump.
Don't think Michelin tires help. Curious what it will be like when new tires needed.
Trying to get used to the seat...all leather and firm. Was used to material in previous 2003 XLE. Funny how everything, including me, slide on these seats. Had a case of those 24 water bottles (they're heavy) on back seat, and with every simple turn it was sliding back and forth the length of seat with the turns.
And the 2003 had such a better feel for the road. I don't feel that in newer car, with a sudden swirve, basic turns, etc. And I drive slow because of this. Strange.
Not to mention, the inside of car is much wider than 2003. I used to be able to reach over and open the passenger door. Can't now. Wow. So I'm trying to get a sense of width on the road. And even had a thought to look at the Corollas. (when I test drove it someone was sitting in passenger seat so I didn't even pickup on this.)
It's all an adjustment.
