Deciding wheather or not to put Intake. - 2/26/2008 12:54:25 AM    camrygarage87 Posts: 29 Joined: 2/25/2008 Status: offline I just got a 2003 camry V6 off the dealer lot and was wondering if anyone could suggest what to do without screwing up the emissions . i just want to take that big plastic box off and get an aftermarket cone. Adding a cold air intake may add a few HP but most likely you will never notice the differance. K&N makes these kinds of things, a websearch should turn up several vendors for there products. But I would not recommend installing on because I have to worry about hydro locking my engine when ever it rains. If I were to do it again I would get the TRD or K&N square replacement filter or a K&N short ram intake. The only differenct that I can find between stock and my CAI is the sound I can not feel any hp difference.    Nathan (in reply to toyomoho) Post #: 3

Do not just cut the box off and throw on a cone filter. But I still think that a replacement K&N of TRD filter would be the best choice because it does flow better but there are not any problems associated with it.
