about to pull the camry put of storage and the mod bugg is biting me

-where can I get a lip/spoiler for my back trunk, install it myself?
-is it possible to change the color of the guages (speedo,gas,etc...), by switching the bulbs?
-the woodgrain dash kits, how do they work? are they stickers or actual plastic pieces?
-I''m thinking of getting a head unit, possibly flipscreen. Any suggestions.

Thanks.

1. I dont know of a lip spoiler for the 1998 camry however you could get ambitious and customize something made for another vehicle or model year.

2. This will change the color somewhat how ever ususally the light bulbs are not of the highest quality and fade thus making them a color your dont really want. I.E. Red fades to pink

3. Woodgrain dash kits espically the ebay ones basically have a two sided tape on them.

4. For a head unit I would go with JVC. I''ve always had great luck with their receivers/headunits

installing a lip spoiler could be very risky, i think a professional could do the customization for your camry...

switching bulbs will surely change the color of the gauges...

dash kits could be stickers and plastic pieces, i''ve seen both of them in autopartswarehouse site and they were much better than in ebay...

jvc is good for head kits, but i found some more in some car parts sites...

good luck!

Later tonite i will look for the tutorial on how to do so, Im gonna do the same with my 94. Easiest way to find out what bulbs you need is to to go to advance and ask them what bulb your camry guage lights are, ans they should even walk you to them. they''re about $2 for a pair. Im not exactly sure how many it takes, Ill try and let you know.

Have fun feeding the addiction!

AHHHH please dont do this with 2 dollar bulbs from advance auto parts/auto zone/ napa etc. Use high quality lights or you will regret it in the long run. They are pretty easy to change you just rmove the cluster from the car. If i recall correctly its 4 screws, and a couple clips to remove the plastic trim. Than and additional 4 screws(two top, and two bottom) then slide out the cluster and be careful removing the plugs for what seems like 6 million wires! At this point you will see the back of the light bulbs. They are little black nob looking things that you turn to remove. simply swap out the light bulbs and your good to go. Also, another option as apposed to using light bulbs is the high temp. sleeves that come in colors and go over the light bulbs(almost look like a condum for a light bulb) in my expirence these have less of a chance of fading.

the lip spoilers are rare to be sold by itself- usually comes with the trd kit but they are out there. Good luck!
