i put a 3300 in my 94 le and had that problem. if you just cut the wires and went from radio to car i would check the wires (in the car) for current. also make sure all the wires are connected properly. If yoiu used a harness like i did make sure its for the right year, and model, and thet the wires are connected. also check the antenae. i have heard alot about the retractable antenaes breaking. but that probly would just give you bad reception. not none at all. if you cant find something on your car, call pioneer and see if they have a test you can do for the radio to check to make sure it is working right.

thanks for the tips man. i used the right harness but the radio i got wasnt new and the ant/ was welded to the radio. dont know if that was the case. i removed the welded ant/ and simply plugged mine into it. it may not be pushed all the way in though. but i cant even hear static from the radio. i dont have a power ant mine is integrated. but i will call pioneer thanks alot. by the way do you know anything about installing a timing belt?

i need to know the basics. im around 125000 miles on a 4cyl and i think i should go ahead and replace it. im new to the entire thing and i want to do it myself. is there a guide on how to do it? i saw a timing belt kit...do i need this? how long does it take to do it? is there any other info you need? and about the radio the previous owner of the radio welded he's antenna to the antenna plug on the radio.

Yea man, you should go with an ipod integration kit for your ride. I have one in my '06 Jetta and my '99 Camry, and they work fine. I got them from DICE Electronics. There's is the only one that wont lock out the ipod on the market at this time. Plus those cats have a new HD Radio reciever kit for all '98-'07(Camry) models. Check it out man.
