here ya go.. IMO you dont need to wash it every month.. its not like your gonna see it every day like the interior and exterior..

yeah you don't want to do that, but i've been wondering the samething...how can i clean my engine bay with no water???

Remove easy access parts like the air intake, things like that. Wipe them down separately, its prolly a good idea to replace anything that needs replacing at that point, like filters. When everything easy is out, wipe what can be with a damp cloth, anything else with a dry cloth. Remember: 1)Disassemble 2)Clean and detail 3)Reassemble. Thats what I do. and it comes out fine.
