Ok this is an odd one. It looks to me like the gasket for the pump probaby isn't sitting right one the engine if i were you i would pull the oil pump off and clean where the gasket sits real real good and then add a little bit of a silicone sealer. to seal up the spot where its coming from.

Read your reply lavalleemike. Hear is everything I've done so far: Replaced all seals and gaskets including the following: 1. Camshaft seal 2. Crankshaft seal 3. Oil pump seal 4. Oil pump O-Ring gasket 5. Oil pump gasket (between housing and block using gasket and Toyota sealant) Car still leaks in the same spot. The only thing left is to replace the oil pump itself or there is a crack or hole in the block. THIS IS SOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!

Add some dye to the engine oil and clean off the area in question with parts wash spray. Take the timing covers off, reinstall the harmonic balancer and run the engine. As soon as it starts to leak stop the engine and inspect it closely. Hopefully, the source of the leak will be more obvious with the dye. You can go as far as sprinking baby powder over the area so i can at least get a visual once the wet spot starts. Since you've gone as far as removing the oil pump housing, you should've just replaced it since you went through all that trouble anyway. At that point, you would have at least eliminated that as a possibility. Good Luck! J

Hey Joel, Thanks so much for the dye idea. What type of dye should I use? Where can I purchase it? How much do I use? Sorry about all of the questions.

I'm not sure how much it will run you as our dealership has it's own kit. The dye WILL require a special blue lamp as well as yellow goggles in order to see the dye will. If it is coming through the block, you should be able to see the crack as it will shine in bright yellow (with the lamp and goggles). You can even spray the leaky are with parts wash and watch it come out again and again as it continues to leak. Good Luck! Joel, CA

Hey everyone. I replaced the oil pump and that fixed the leak. The old one must have had a hole or was warped. Thanks for all your help.
