well, they have to have the same bolt pattern, and have to have enough offset backspacing to fit around the brake calipers. as for tires, you can just buy tires that will amount to roughly the same diameter and width. do you have a rim and tire size in mind?

I recently bought 17x7 Racing Hart C2s and I'm planning on wrappin' it with the Yokohama H4s 225/55/17.. In my opinion... 17's are better because you get a decent life for the tires you spill money on.. for me, the 50 series and over for the H4s comes with a 500 treadwear rating and it should be able to do 55,000-60,000 easy...18's ride hard! LoL.

Most tire sites on the net tell you what rims fit your car. They will tell you if the bolt pattern and offset matchup.
Ex( tirerack.com) tirerack.com lets you see the rims on your car
