remove the heater control, there's one clip in each corner .. kind of scary to remove..feels like your going to brake some thing. then under the cover for the radio and air vents are 2 screws, remove them.. now remove the cover for the radio there should be five clips behind radio cover..then 4 gold 6mm bolts holding the radio....this is what I recall in my head..but I feel confident that i didn't leave anything out.. but if someone thinks i missed something please correct me..

ok thanks. i need to move my Sirius radio from my '98 to my 'new' '02 and it has an antenna bypass cable that goes in line with the fm antenna and the radio. i'll need to remove the ventilation control cover which is what i think you are referring to as the heater control (not sure) in order to install the mount for the Sirius anyhow so its all gonna have to come out anyway. i use something called a panavise mount (also made by a company called Profit) and it comes out real nice. these are the written directions for the mount: http://www.panavise.com/f/comm/indash/instruction.html?partn=75137-102 here is a picture of what the mount looks like installed: http://www.panavise.com/f/comm/indash/indashviewfinalimage.html?modelID=32148912632994034 Chris

Does anyone know if the 02 camry with the stock 1 disc cd player has a standard antenna jack on the back? I need to install and FM direct for XM radio, if the fitting is not standard I will need an adapter. Thanks for the help. Duck44

So im trying to do something similar to this, as far as taking out the radio, i want to (1) be able to hook up an amp and some subs to my stock 6-disc cd changer 2002 camry se radio. (2) be able to fix what has been done to it already.. Okay so i lt this guy touch my car, trying to take out the radio, so the part around the actual unit it like popped out without first taking out the temperature controls. So i dont think i broke any thing.. but then again.. the temp controls should pop right out and everything be fine right?? please say yes.. haha
